Hey everyone! My name is Lauren and I am the chef and owner of the Polka Dot Treat Shop based out of Wake Forest, North Carolina.  A little about myself: I’ve been married to my husband Brian for 4 years and we have two little boys, Luke and Landon.

 

My passion for food started at a young age and carried into college where I earned a degree in culinary arts and baking and pastry from the Academy of Culinary Arts in New Jersey.  While I was in college, I had the opportunity to study food in Italy, which was an incredible experience.

   

I’ve also worked in restaurants, yacht clubs, and a wedding cake shop making amazing custom cakes of all shapes and sizes.  Prior to relocating to North Carolina, I had the privilege of working at a one of everyone's favorite grocery retailers as an Executive Chef.
